Women's World: I am the man with the most OP auxiliary class

Chapter 198: Captain Skeleton

Chapter 198: Captain Skeleton

"Is this our goal? It is closed." Magen hit the double door with her fist.

We had finally arrived at what I believe is the control room of the ship. Beyond the ceiling above our heads there was nothing. We were at the highest part of the ship.

In front, at the end of a long and wide hallway that had a gentle slope, there was a large double door big enough for a four-meter-tall giant to enter standing.

The door had reliefs that formed patterns and drawings I did not understand. Perhaps they had no meaning and were only decoration to show that behind the door was an important place.

"Shall we cut it?" Xifia made a gesture with her sword and her dagger.

"Nn. I think I can open it." I took a step forward and stood beside Magen.

"Be careful."

I placed the palms of my hands on each door. This place, apart from what I believe is the engine room, was the only one of three where I felt energy.

After so many years it seemed that the spaceship was not completely dead.

With my spatial perception I had been searching for a switch or something to activate the opening of the door, but it seemed there was nothing. How would it open?

Or so I thought, but suddenly the door opened.

*Ding - Ssssssft*

Only a moment after I placed my hands on both doors, a bell sound came out and the doors opened wide to the sides, hiding inside the walls.

"Why did it sound like the doors of an elevator?" I murmured.

"Woaa! It opened!"

"Vremya is amazing!"

"Incredible..."

"..."

"Ehhh... I did not do anything (?)" I said a little embarrassed.

Then a soft light illuminated the room in front of us.

In all the darkness of the ship this seemed to be the only source of light.

"Careful!" Xifia became serious and jumped forward in front of me with her sharp blades ready.

Magen also stood beside Xifia with her shield ready forward. The light from the shield helped illuminate the interior of the room more.

"Let us go." I said softly.

We advanced calmly but uniformly.

The interior of the room was very large, perhaps two hundred square meters in rectangular shape. It definitely was not as large as the cargo area, but it was still a large place.

It was divided into zones and we entered from one side. We were on a high platform and the further forward, the lower the floor became.

Looking toward what would be the front of the room there was a huge crystal window. But now that window looked more like a black wall that absorbed the little light in the room.

In the middle at the front there was a platform higher than the one we were on now, circular in shape and with a seat very different from all the other seats inside the room. Next to the seat there was a console.

Around the platform, arranged in a crescent shape, there was a series of consoles with seats. There were also screens on the consoles in front of each seat as well as larger screens.

Further ahead there was another crescent of more consoles and other machines and then a third one.

Then, forming a square in the center, there were more areas divided into squares and on each wall there were doors that, with my spatial ability, I could see were like the small rooms on the staircase that resembled elevators.

The place was very well organized. Although I felt a little familiarity with the consoles and screens, it did not resemble anything I had seen in my previous life. But I knew they were definitely a kind of computers.

"It is very big!"

"This place looks..."

"Mm! This is the Command Center of the Ship."

"..." The girls spoke while we began to explore the room. Thanks to the soft light with a warm tone, everything could be observed well without losing sight of each other.

"Vremya-san."

"Mm?" I turned to look at Destan and he pointed toward a place in front of the front-center seat.

I had already seen that a small blue light was blinking, but it was very soft, almost as if it were running out of batteries.

We all reached the center of the room and surrounded the main seat.

The small blue blinking came from a bracelet that looked more like a belt. It had a silver color, seemed metallic, and the blue light shone in the center, but it did not come from any bulb or other material. It came from the bracelet itself.

"Wait!"

"Vrem..."

I extended my hand and the girls became alert. With a nod I calmed everyone and my hand touched the blue light in the center of the large bracelet.

When my hand touched the light I felt nothing, but the light went out.

*Chek* The sound of a lock opening was heard in the silent command center.

The large crystal window faced the bow of the ship. We had entered from the port side and the door that had just opened was on the starboard side.

Everyone looked at each other upon hearing the sound of a door opening and then looked at me.

"Let us see..."

It was not difficult to reach that double door. The path was clear without any obstacles.

This time the door was not as large as the previous one, but it was at least two and a half meters high. It was not open, but unlike the previous door this one did have knobs to hold.

I took the knobs with my hands and pushed forward. The door opened smoothly and felt weightless.

Inside there was a kind of conference room, a large and long table with several seats on the two long sides of the table. There was one seat at each end that seemed to suggest they were the leaders’ seats, but somehow facing each other.

The place was empty except for the table and the chairs. On the left side there was one more door.

No one spoke, they only observed their surroundings.

Following me we reached the other door. This time it was only a simple door, but it also had its elegant relief. Taking the knob I pushed forward and it opened easily.

This time there was an office, a large wooden desk at the back with a coffee table in the middle of the office and long seats on each side.

"Who is it?"

"Careful!"

The girls became nervous and quickly took defensive positions.

That was because in the seat behind the desk there was a person sitting. Or rather, a skeleton.

"It is only a skeleton. This person died a long time ago..."

Behind the desk seat there was a bookshelf with many books, books in the style of scrolls. On one side there was another door. But for some time I had seen that it was a bedroom.

What surprised me was that if this person at the desk was the Captain of this ship, then who did the other two rooms that seemed to be of the highest quality belong to?

"It is true! It is a skeleton...!" Magen approached with her shield forward and observed. Upon seeing that it really was a skeleton she lowered the shield.

Bad! One should never lower the shield...

"How strange, his clothes are unusual."

"But they do not look so bad... And the hat looks like those from the navy."

"..." The girls began to analyze the skeleton.

"It is a man." Destan said suddenly.

"Eh? No, no, no... He is very tall."

"And the body structure does not look like it..." Dianeira looked at the skeleton and then looked at me.

What do you mean by body structure, Dianeira? Sorry for being short and looking so thin, okay!

"Ah! I... It is because of the clothes, he wears pants and..." Destan began to justify his observation.

It was obvious that it was a man. The dimensions of his arms and the size of the bones of the hand. The entire bone structure indicated that it was a male of the human species.

I say, I am a doctor and I can count 206 bones in total. It is an adult man.

This Captain skeleton had a metal tag of the same color as the bracelet outside on his right hand.

Without fear, I took the tag calmly and the moment it came out of the Captain skeleton’s hand, the light that barely entered from outside went out.

"What happened?" Magen jumped and looked outside.

"We need to find a short route to the outside. Magen, Tikshna, when you are outside prepare the things to make dinner. Dianeira and Xifia prepare the camp. It seems we do not need weapons or tents, only a place to sleep. Kara and Destan, arrange the Captain of the ship. When we have access to the outside we can bury him..."

I began to give orders. We had been running and we were tired and hungry. Let us leave the investigation for tomorrow. For now I would create a way to communicate. I needed to communicate with our supervising professor and mission guardian so she would not worry about us.

At least Rudelle would be happy that we had finally found our goal, although who would have thought that it was a ship that sails between the stars...
