Chapter 107 Valhalla—Odin vs. "Odin"

Chapter 107 Valhalla—Odin vs. "Odin"

The Assassin's Creed universe primarily tells the story of two rival, hidden forces fighting each other throughout human history.

Because of their differing ideologies, these two factions were divided into the Templars and the Assassins.

These two forces have been active at various junctures in human history, and their presence can be seen in many major historical events.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the final installment in the three major mythological stories of Assassin's Creed.

It tells the story of the Unseen, the precursors of the Assassins, and the Ancient Constituents, the precursors of the Templars, on the British Isles, which were the site of the worst Viking raids.

Of course, the main story begins with a Viking who left his homeland to come to this place.

Eivor the Wolf-Kisser is a shield mother of the Black Raven Clan and the adopted sister of their leader, Sigurd.

She possessed exceptional eloquence, a talent akin to that of a bard, enabling her to persuade others with words and avert conflict.

As the leader of the Norse Isu and a descendant of Odin, Eivor, like Odin in mythology, does not like wolves, even though she is nicknamed the Wolf-Kisser.

……

"Kid, where is this? It looks like the Central Courtyard."

Odin and Dio arrived on the island of Britain. Odin looked around at the surroundings and was somewhat surprised.

The way he looked at Dio suggested he had been deceived.

Dio stepped out from behind Odin and, upon hearing Odin's question, replied, "Old man, there's no need to look at me like that. This is indeed Midgard, but it's not the Midgard on your side."

Dio used his mental power to scan the entire continent and, after confirming the timeline, said, "How about this, I'll take you to meet someone who is considered a 'protagonist' of this continent during this period."

"The protagonist?" Odin asked, puzzled. However, he was still very curious about what exactly this so-called protagonist of this continent was!

Dio found the right direction and led the way, while Odin followed behind.

Along the way, Dio told him some basic information about this world, including that the Norse gods in this world were all reincarnated and lived among people.

This amazed Odin, who went from initial distrust to some interest.

Soon the two arrived at a cluster of buildings built along the river.

This was a settlement that resembled a village, and the arrival of Dio and Odin still drew everyone's attention.

Both Dio and Odin are two-meter-tall strong men. Although Odin looks a bit old, he is still full of energy.

Of course, Dio and Odin couldn't be wearing those golden armors; they were dressed in ordinary clothes.

Even so, they were still surrounded and watched by the Black Crow Clan.

A woman with light blonde hair dressed in blue accessories came out.

"Hello, my name is Landif. May I ask where you two are from? Is there anything our Black Raven Clan can do to help you?"

Dio ignored her and said to Odin, "She is Tyr's wife in this life, not his reincarnation, but she has a good relationship with Odin's reincarnation."

As he spoke, Dio gave Odin a mocking smile.

Odin sensed something was wrong and hurriedly said, "You brat, explain yourself! You didn't say anything like that on the way here!"

Dio kept everyone in suspense, since Eivor, the official reincarnation of Odin, is female, even though the game trailers initially featured a male.

But as the shield mother of the Vikings, Eivor's bravery is guaranteed. Whether she is truly that strong or it is due to the game mechanics, Eivor is one of the top Vikings.

Despite not being particularly tall, Eivor was able to defeat and kill many powerful warriors who were tall and difficult to harm even when attacked by a group of people.

However, Dio and Odin's words left Lantif and those around them looking at each other in bewilderment.

In their eyes, Dio and Odin were just two strong warriors who appeared out of nowhere, and their conversation would inevitably drift into mythology.

Tyr and Odin.

Those around him were completely baffled.

They even wondered if these two people were shamans from another clan who had become eccentric and run away from their own clan.

Just as they were about to summon their clan's witches, Dio stopped them.

With a flick of his hand, an invisible ripple spread out, creating ripples in the air that shocked the people. Then they suddenly realized they couldn't move!

"How dare you..." Landif struggled and roared.

But more than anything, they were terrified, because they only saw Dio extend one finger, and then they were unable to move.

Is this some kind of witchcraft?

"You brat, explain yourself! What does my reincarnation have to do with this mortal?" Odin slammed his staff into the ground, thunder roared in the air, and he reverted to his golden-armored, one-eyed form.

The members of the Black Raven Clan were stunned. Looking at the other person's distinctive appearance, it would be strange if they couldn't guess who it was.

"The omnipotent father..."

"By Odin!"

Our prayers were answered!

As for Landif, the current clan chief's wife, she was utterly horrified, staring wide-eyed at the man before her.

The figure is a one-eyed old man in a long robe, holding a Gungnir.

Isn't this Odin, the All Father they worship, the King of the Gods?!

But reason told her that something was not right.

"Lantif!" a voice called out.

As the clan chief's wife, Lantiff was very familiar with the owner of the voice.

It's Eivor!

"do not come!"

"Run!"

She instinctively cried out, her forehead covered in sweat from nervousness.

Eivor saw everyone standing there and instinctively shouted, but when he heard Lantif's voice, he knew something was wrong. As a traditional Viking, she would never run away from any battle.

He took down two spears from his back, one a grandfather's spear and the other a militia spear, and charged forward with the spears in hand.

Without even looking, he thrust his weapon at Odin!

"Insolence!" Odin roared.

Now anyone dares to attack me?

With a slam of his fist, Gungnir unleashed a torrent of energy that sent Eivor flying, even knocking away a raven that had just swooped down.

The powerful force caused Eivor to curl up on the ground in pain, but he still gripped his weapon tightly.

She even felt that her crow companion had flown too far away, and she could no longer sense its presence.

Everyone else was terrified.

Eivor just attacked Odin, the All-Powerful Father!

She will absolutely be brutally murdered!

But the others didn't want to see Eivor killed.

Besides being the patriarch's adopted sister, Eivor was also a key figure in enabling the entire clan to grow stronger and forge alliances in this foreign land.

Eivor's reputation enjoys the highest level of respect within the clan.

To put it bluntly, Eivor has now surpassed Sigurd, who, as clan leader, has long neglected to organize and lead the clan.

If Eivor were willing, he could even rise up in rebellion and depose his sworn brother Sigdra. At that time, few people in the clan would probably object!

Just as the people of the Black Raven Clan were feeling uneasy, Dio reached out and pulled Eivor over.

After healing the other party's injuries, Dio stopped the hand that was about to continue and laughed, "Don't be so angry. You didn't even take a closer look at who she is."

Odin's anger subsided, and he looked at Dio with a puzzled expression.

He knew that Dio knew about the world, so there must be a deeper meaning behind what he was doing.
