Chapter 131 Warhammer - A Different Prophecy
Chapter 131 Warhammer - A Different Prophecy
Dio glanced at the Emperor and handed over another document.
"A plan to rebuild homes?"
The emperor was stunned when he saw the name.
He then opened the book and began to read it. Instead of leaving, Dio found a place to sit and wait for the emperor to finish reading.
The Emperor read it quickly, finishing in less than three minutes. He looked at Dio and said, "The plan is good, but why abolish those nobles?"
"Although they are useless, they can quickly stabilize the population of a planet, and now they can stabilize the rear area and continuously provide us with talents from the Loyal Succession Academy."
Dio sat firmly in his chair, looking at the Emperor: "You need to understand one thing: it is because of your kind of thinking that the Human Empire has remained unchanged for the next ten thousand years. And do you intend to continue this even if you know the future?"
The Emperor frowned, wanting to retort, but Dio stopped him: "I know what you'll say, you want to conquer the Milky Way first and then deal with things slowly."
"That's a good idea; that's what you originally thought too."
Dio pointed to his head, indicating to the Emperor.
The Emperor knew what this meant; perhaps that's what the Emperor in the original storyline thought. However, the Horus Rebellion occurred, which directly paralyzed the human empire.
For a full ten thousand years, nothing changed.
While the human empires within the galaxy are incredibly powerful, other Xenomorphs are not standing still, with the Tau being a prime example.
It should be noted that this was originally just a primitive civilization that couldn't even jump around yet, but no one expected that it would become an interstellar civilization in just ten thousand years.
Although the human empire could easily crush them, the Tau Empire was a prime example, showing the Emperor that if humanity wanted to return to its former glory, change was necessary!
The Emperor took a deep breath and looked at Dio: "I entrust all these matters to you."
He then laughed and said, "But have you thought about my position? You should know that I am now the Emperor of Humanity."
Dio rolled his eyes: "Your position is just a job. Don't tell me you still plan to sit in this position after we conquer the Milky Way and find a way to shield humanity from the effects of the warp on reality and bring it back to its peak."
"Nothing is more despairing than an immortal emperor."
The emperor lowered his eyes. He could imagine that an ordinary person, even if their lifespan was extended through longevity technology, would feel suffocated if they looked at an immortal leader on the throne!
“Then…” the emperor asked, frowning.
"Republic".
Dio's words startled the emperor.
"Even a constitutional monarchy must eventually become socialism."
"Before that, the republic is the most important thing!"
Republic.
The word "emperor" has not been heard for many years.
If it weren't for the technology that allowed humanity to explore the stars in the 2K era, the entire Earth would probably have embarked on the socialist path in less than a thousand years.
But upon closer reflection, Dio's statement is also quite correct.
“No wonder.” The Emperor nodded. “No wonder you said from the beginning that you were going to retire, but you and your wife don’t have any children.”
“I was wondering how you planned to groom your son to be your successor. It seems you’ve changed your successor to someone else.”
Dio did not deny it.
"Yes, but for now, we'll still choose from the Eternals. After all, the initial goal of my empire was simply to ensure the survival of my people and then find time to take revenge on the Kree. As for unifying the universe or becoming the cosmic overlord, I was forced into that."
Emperor: Ah, yes, yes, yes.
"Don't be so skeptical. When I first conquered a territory and gathered a small number of Eternals, I was in the tourism industry. I even worked as a cook for a while."
"If it weren't for revenge, to show my fist to the whole universe, I would still be just a cook now."
The emperor stared at him speechlessly, having never seen anyone from Versailles like this before.
However, the emperor had already done what he was supposed to do; he wasn't a child and knew how to handle the aftermath.
Dio left immediately; he had many things to deal with and couldn't stay there indefinitely.
The Emperor's orders were issued quickly, and military tribunals and construction plans for the conquered planets soon appeared in the hands of frontline officers.
Dio's plan led to a change in the strategic objectives of the human empire, leaving frontline officers completely bewildered.
However, there was no other way; the emperor's decree was above all else, and the officer quickly issued the order.
The task of building up the conquered territory was left to the Whisperers and the Ultra Warriors.
Robert Guilliman was an expert in the construction of the Mackrag Five Hundred Worlds and the spread of religious beliefs by the Word Bearers, whether in conquering territories or carrying out subsequent ideological construction.
Even the 18th Legion, which later became the Salamanders, a force very friendly to mortals, was placed in this position, except for the front lines.
However, after abolishing the nobility and declaring that the successor would be a person of outstanding ability, no one made any sense.
Apart from the Sons of the Emperor's Legion.
Most of the Astartes here are of Terran descent, created by the nobles of Terra, roughly in Europe, who surrendered their eldest sons to save their lives.
There was a slight commotion when they heard that their former family had become commoners, but it quickly subsided.
They just became civilians, not died.
However, one person lost control of their emotions.
Conrad Coates.
As the Emperor's eighth son, Koz, like Corax, primarily uses assassination. However, unlike Corax, he employs fear tactics to make the nobles and commoners on any planet he conquers extremely obedient.
Of course, the chances of a subsequent rebellion will also increase.
When the Emperor delivered the new orders to him, Koz went mad.
Because his predictions, which he had never made wrong, had gone wrong, Koz suffered a mental breakdown for a time.
Koz possesses exceptional prophetic abilities, enabling him to see into the distant future. However, due to the fact that his prophecies have been transmitted through subspace, Koz also feels despair because he often sees pessimistic and bleak futures.
He believes this is his future and is often emo.
A typical example is on the mining planet Nostramo, where Koz once encountered a child who had just committed a crime.
During a fear-mongering tactic, Coz captured the child.
Just as he was figuring out what to do, his still-developing prophetic abilities kicked in.
He saw two futures.
One reason was that he let the child go. After the child went out into the street, he proclaimed that he had survived from the Midnight Ghost, making others think that the Midnight Ghost also had humanity and would not kill indiscriminately.
Over time, people went from disdain to trust in him, making the planet more peaceful and amiable.
Another future is where a child cuts himself with a knife, then runs out of the alley to tell everyone that he injured the midnight ghost and survived.
Let everyone know that even midnight ghosts are human and can be hurt.
This will force Koz to use even more ruthless methods and face even greater difficulties in restoring order to this planet.
So how did Koz do it?
He strangled the child.
Then he discovered that the knife the child had hidden during the struggle had actually flown far away.
But this time, Coz did not see any prophecy when he received the order.
Or rather, none of the prophecies indicated that the emperor would issue this order.
This was the first time he had encountered such a situation, and coupled with his long-term mental instability and abnormality, he completely lost control.
