Chapter 198 Ultraman - Can we discard the timer?
Chapter 198 Ultraman - Can we discard the timer?
Ignoring Ripia's heartfelt cries for Zoffy, Dio turned and left the universe of Sinnoh.
When he arrived in this world, he noticed something was wrong: the Sinnoh universe was connected to another universe.
When his telepathic connection reached the past, he discovered that it was actually the traditional Ultraman universe.
Or rather, the Ultraman universe of tokusatsu (special effects) dramas.
Knowing he had arrived there, Dio used his powerful telepathy to pinpoint the exact locations of the two cosmic stars of light and the land of light. He then took out his recording tablet, wanting to understand the differences between the two.
I also took the opportunity to record an interview with Ripia as Shinji Kaminaga.
"I wonder if those guys from the Star of Light will come and give Zoffy a piece of their minds after they see this?" Dio thought to himself.
M78 Nebula, the Kingdom of Light.
After finishing his day's training, Master Taro arrived at his beloved little house.
But before he could catch his breath, an order urgently summoned him and all the other Ultramen to the council hall.
Father Ultra has led a group of Ultra Brothers, including Leo, Atlas, Zero, and even Hikari, all gathered together. In the middle, there is a person whose style is completely different from the surroundings.
In Taro's view, this sudden appearance was like a Superman in American comic style suddenly jumping out from a group of Japanese manga, and the sense of incongruity made Taro feel very uncomfortable.
The visitor was none other than Dio.
"Wait a minute? Although he's as tall as Ultraman, he was directly exposed to the light from the Plasma Spark Tower and wasn't affected at all?" Taro was taken aback when he saw Dio, and hesitated for a moment before flying in.
"Taro, you're late!" Father Osaka shouted sternly.
"Yes!" Taro didn't show any dissatisfaction, after all, he was the last one to arrive.
Seeing that Taro readily admitted his mistake, Father O said nothing more and looked at the person who had suddenly appeared, saying, "Sir, please state your purpose."
"I am from another parallel world. In that world, I met a warrior who also belonged to the Star of Light. He maliciously took over a human body and even attracted many aliens to come to Earth to cause destruction..."
Dio gave a brief and eloquent description of the worldview of the Neo-Olympian universe.
When they heard about the release of the space dinosaur Zetton, some people couldn't stand up straight.
"No, what do you mean? Zetton has become a weapon controlled by everyone?" The first generation instantly bristled. He had suffered greatly at the hands of Zetton, and if Zoffy hadn't intervened in time, he probably would have been killed.
“Yes, at this point in time, besides the Baltan aliens who control cosmic monsters, who else has the ability to control the cosmic dinosaur Zetton?” Zoffy chimed in.
His question was also the question of the other Ultramen. Surrounded by a group of expressionless faces, Dio also felt uncomfortable.
"Forget it, you should just turn into human size. This appearance is really making me physically uncomfortable."
At Dio's suggestion, the others had no complaints and, without saying a word, waited for Dio to finish his or her conversation.
When Dio saw the group of somewhat elderly human actors, he lamented the passing of his youth, then took out his recording tablet and started playing a film by Xin'ao.
However, the more you watch the movie, the more familiar the plot seems, giving the original movie a very strong sense of déjà vu.
When the Ultraman who called himself Zoffy, whose body was covered in alternating gold and black, pulled out a device called Zetton, everyone looked at Zoffy on their side.
Zoffy and the original were also confused. This story was very similar to what the original experienced after arriving on Earth, especially the thing about the female members of the team becoming huge, which he had experienced.
I didn't think much of it at the time, but now that I think about it, it does fit the description of Zoffy and the Mefilas aliens here.
But it is obvious that the so-called Star of Light and their Kingdom of Light have completely different social structures. How could they possibly sacrifice the population of an entire planet to maintain the balance of the universe?
Zoffy was even more confused. The other me from another world was so oppressive. Why did I feel like a villain who was going to destroy the universe?
Actually, this is quite normal. In the earliest Ultraman tokusatsu series, Zoffy was not supposed to come to rescue the original Ultraman. Instead, he was supposed to be an alien who controlled the space dinosaur Zetton, not Ultraman Zoffy!
Later, for unknown reasons, this setting was abandoned and replaced with the original Ultraman's clan, who saved the original Ultraman from imminent death.
Meanwhile, Hikari, the director of the Space Science and Technology Bureau of the Land of Light, had his eyes shining as he looked at Zetton in Zoffy's hand.
Why didn't he think of that?
Given Zetton's formidable attack and defense capabilities, if it were to become mechanized as depicted in the image, could it serve as one of the Land of Light's trump cards?
Once you have a clear idea, the rest of the brainstorming becomes much simpler.
In the Blue Ultraman series, Hikari's "I Think Power," which is like a bug in the game, has almost made up his mind about how to create the biological weapon Zetton.
However, what Hikari was most concerned about was that trillion-degree fireball.
A trillion-degree fireball in their world does indeed have that kind of power, but strangely, it's different from what's depicted in the video, because their trillion-degree fireball isn't an area-of-effect attack, but rather a concentrated attack.
A highly concentrated fireball of one trillion degrees Celsius is certainly capable of harming an Ultraman's life, but it lacks the ability of another universe to instantly destroy such a large area.
Otherwise, why would it only shatter a few windows on Earth instead of evaporating the entire planet?
However, such large-scale destruction should be avoided if possible.
Hikari thought so truthfully.
In the following scenes, after witnessing Ripia, disguised as Shinji Kaminari, behave in a near-perverted manner towards human women, the Ultramen were taken aback by the fact that Ripia was giving Earthlings a high-dimensional domain formula for the β system.
It's not that they're unwilling to share their technological achievements; they admire the courage and wisdom of Earthlings. In order to protect humanity's potential, which is comparable to their own, they've even sent generation after generation of Ultraman to Earth to protect them.
However, the β system is based on the core theory of β capsules, which is equivalent to handing over one's livelihood to the other party, even though it is knowledge from another field in the foundation.
Although the situation was urgent and Ripia's choice in the scene was a last resort, given the imminent crisis facing Zetton, the Ultramen felt it was somewhat counterproductive.
They scratched their heads, unable to figure out whether doing this was good or bad.
Then there's the exchange between Zoffy and Ripia within a red area.
It was almost exactly the same as when Zoffy saved the original, making the original feel as if he were being publicly executed for his youthful and shameful appearance.
"What do you think?"
After Dio finished speaking, he asked.
After a moment of silence, a voice rang out: "Could we discard the timers on our chests?"
