Chapter 133 Unfortunately, you are powerless to help.
The woman, with a face as beautiful as a rose, exuded an imposing aura simply by standing there. Leaning against the car, a cigarette between her fingers, she flicked her wrist, exhaling a delicate puff of smoke, and waved to Qin Reng and Yu Yuetong across the distance, her movements as elegant as if she were enacting some kind of socialite drama.
Yu Yuetong's pupils dilated in shock. "Damn! Is she here to collect a debt?! Do you have some old romantic entanglements you haven't paid off?"
"Can you shut up?!" Qin Reng warned in a low voice, glancing at the woman out of the corner of his eye, his brows furrowing even more. "Keep your mouth shut, or it might be more dangerous for you to speak than to remain silent later."
That's what she said, but before the other person could speak, Yu Yuetong had already rattled off a string of lines, her voice rising in her throat: "Big sister, if you're going to kill someone, don't choose the moonlight by your bedside! Can't you do it later, more peacefully, and more gently! At least let me have a decent meal!"
"Who gave you permission to speak?" Qin Reng growled, and the next second he grabbed Yu Yuetong's wrist and forcibly dragged her behind him. "Shut up and stay quiet! Save your disruptive lines for the end of the show."
Hearing this arrogant tone, the woman's lips curled up slightly, her smile widening. She strolled forward, each step on the dark asphalt road feeling like she was approaching some dangerous lever.
"Young Master Qin, your manners are truly infamous." Her tone was soft and gentle, a stark contrast to the sharpness she exuded at that moment. "However, it's not your fault. These days, too many men are obsessed with saving face."
"Oh?" Qin Reng raised an eyebrow and casually asked, "Then, Miss Jiang, could you share some good advice on 'face'?"
“I don’t have any advice, but I do have a reminder—don’t be too confident or too complacent. This Miss Yu behind you,” the woman exhaled a ring of smoke and pointed to Yu Yuetong, whose face was pale, “seems like a good alternative to a hostage—not too big, not too small, just right.”
"Hostage?!" Yu Yuetong understood the key word, immediately took a step back, pointed at herself with a look of surprise, "Wait, you just said me? No, no, no, big sister, I'm just a lackey! The one who's really worth kidnapping is Qin Reng! He's the chosen CEO, kidnapping him would be enough to buy a building with the ransom!"
After hearing this, the woman slowly shifted her gaze back to Qin Reng's face, her smile deepening: "Yes, Young Master Qin, it seems the choice today... is no longer on your side?"
As soon as she finished speaking, two masked men appeared out of nowhere, grabbing Yu Yuetong from either side. Before she could even let out a complete scream, she was dragged off balance, her legs dangling in the air. Her mouth opened slightly to form an "ah," but what came out in a roundabout way was, "Damn it! You'd better write a statement before you start using violence!"
Qin Reng's gaze was as dark as the deep sea, his fists clenched so tightly they cracked, and a fierce glint flashed in his eyes. He quickly surveyed the current situation and said coldly, "You think this can threaten me? Don't overestimate your bargaining chips."
The woman raised an eyebrow, lazily stubbed out her cigarette, and revealed a mysterious smile: "Then let's give it a try, how about it? Maybe there will be a surprise."
In an instant, Yu Yuetong gasped.
She reflexively looked up and glanced out the window. She saw a black sedan slowly approaching on the street not far away—it had no license plate and no passengers, and it was strangely stopped no more than a hundred meters away from them.
A beam of bright car headlights was locking their windows shut.
"Efficient..." Qin Reng narrowed his eyes, clenched his fist, and whispered his conclusion: "It seems they came directly for us."
For a moment, the atmosphere inside the car froze, like a thin thread hanging in the air, ready to snap at any moment. Yu Yuetong felt like a caged bird, wanting to struggle but unable to escape. She couldn't help but turn her head to look at Qin Reng's face, with only one thought in her mind: This is truly a joke; he's been kidnapped right after his wedding.
"God! Please help me..." Yu Yuetong prayed silently, her palms already sweating slightly.
At this moment, Qin Reng's clenched fist tightened noticeably, his gaze sharp and piercing, inspiring fear in those who saw it. Seeing his reaction, the woman's lips curled into a slight smile, and she continued in a teasing tone, "You think you're so strong? Come on, try and see if you can take me down."
"Are you sure you want to try?" Qin Reng's voice was low, tinged with suppressed anger, and his disdain seemed to be a contempt for the threat before him.
Yu Yuetong felt uneasy about this confrontation and quickly tugged at his sleeve, trying to calm him down. She leaned closer to Qin Reng and said nervously, "Qin Reng, don't act rashly... She outnumbers us, let's think of a way to escape first!"
"Shut up! I have my own way." He turned his head and said coldly. At this moment, Qin Reng's face was ashen, but he was actually secretly observing the surrounding movements.
However, the woman seemed to disregard their conversation, instead becoming even more smug, smiling with a hint of provocation. What chilled Yu Yuetong was the sinister glint in the woman's eyes. "Today isn't your chance to succeed," Qin's voice gradually turned icy.
"Really?" the woman asked with a light laugh, seemingly quite interested. "Then you should try and take care of us 'small fry'."
As soon as she finished speaking, a blinding light suddenly illuminated the surroundings, the headlights from the black sedan shining in, highlighting the noisy atmosphere. Yu Yuetong felt uneasy, unconsciously biting her lower lip, a vague sense of foreboding creeping into her heart.
"Come on, hurry up! We're waiting to see a show." She heard the woman give a few more instructions, and the masked men on either side of her showed her no mercy.
"Let me go! Do you know who I am!" Yu Yuetong was both angry and frightened. She struggled with all her might, but to no avail. "We just got married, you'd better think about the consequences if you try to tie me up!" She tried to make them back down, but instead only provoked more merciless mockery.
"You're so naive." The woman shook her head and moved away instantly. Her smile was like a blunt instrument piercing the night sky, sending chills down one's spine. "I only need to make Young Master Qin waver a little, and then use you as bait, and the whole place will be my stage."
"Impossible!" Qin Reng roared, his eyes blazing with anger. He quickly moved to the side, trying to create space for Yu Yuetong. However, Yu Yuetong's hand was firmly held and she couldn't break free at all.
"Unfortunately, you are powerless to help." The woman's laughter grew even more arrogant. She had been maliciously manipulating everything all along, like a commentator watching a play, each smile a merciless mockery of the two of them.
Qin Reng reacted quickly, his face growing increasingly grim, suffocating like dark clouds gathering, and he was about to rush forward. But just as he was about to tear through the darkness, with a loud crash, the car door was violently slammed open.
