Mu Xiaoyu felt as if a thousand-pound weight was pressing on her eyelids, and every bone in her body was in excruciating pain. She used all her strength to open her tightly closed eyes.

However, upon opening her eyes, intense pain engulfed her like a tidal wave, and the image of being pushed off a high-rise building kept replaying in her mind.

She rubbed her temples suspiciously, sat up in bed, and looked around. A thunderbolt seemed to explode in her mind, instantly waking her. Mu Xiaoyu would never forget this place; eight years ago, it was here that she was drugged and then caught in bed with another man by Li Chenxu!

Mu Xiaoyu couldn't care less about anything else. Her face was flushed, her breathing was rapid, and her steps were unsteady! The scene on the street surprised Mu Xiaoyu; it was as if everything was filtered through a nostalgic lens, making it seem unreal. She tried her best to stay calm and flagged down a taxi.

Seeing that Mu Xiaoyu was dazed and confused, the driver asked her with concern if she wanted him to take her to the hospital. However, Mu Xiaoyu stared at the small white print on the taxi's display of time, her hands clenched tightly together, as if she were watching her own pale funeral.

"It's been eight years... Is this a dream? They say that in the last second before a person dies, they look back on their life. Am I standing here, unable to let go?" Mu Xiaoyu murmured bitterly, startling the driver, who turned pale. It was just getting dark, and he had already picked up such an unusual customer. He didn't dare to talk to Mu Xiaoyu anymore and stepped on the gas, taking her directly to the apartment she had mentioned.

Back in her apartment, Mu Xiaoyu collapsed onto the sofa and let out a deep sigh of relief. She glanced at the time; it was eight o'clock in the evening. Great, Wu Qianru would probably take Li Chenxu to catch them cheating before nine! Mu Xiaoyu stared at the second hand of the clock, the ticking sound seeming to echo her own heartbeat.

As Mu Xiaoyu expected, less than an hour after she left, Wu Qianru arrived at the hotel in a flurry with Li Chenxu.

Before Wu Qianru could ask the hotel staff to open the door, Li Chenxu kicked it open, startling Wu Qianru into standing there frozen. A moment later, she followed him with a beaming smile, but upon entering the room, she was greatly disappointed. The room was impeccably clean, with only a man sitting bewildered on the bed. Upon seeing Wu Qianru, he excitedly stood up.

Wu Qianru secretly shook her head at the man, and only then did the man control his urge to run over and question Wu Qianru.

"Where is she? Didn't you say Xiaoyu was here?!" Li Chenxu turned his face darkly and questioned Wu Qianru.

"Um... Shenxu, listen to me, Xiaoyu might have gone back first!" Wu Qianru rolled her eyes at the man and hurriedly followed behind Li Chenxu, whispering.

Li Chenxu strode into the hotel lobby, chose a quiet spot to sit down, and then looked at his assistant Lin beside him and said coldly:

"Go check the surveillance footage and see if Mu Xiaoyu actually went in or out of that room!"

"Yes, sir, I'll take care of it right away." After replying, Assistant Lin went to negotiate with the hotel staff efficiently. In less than ten minutes, Assistant Lin returned with a tablet.

"Mr. Li, please take a look. This is a surveillance video from an hour ago."

Li Chenxu took the tablet, his slender fingers gently pressing the play button as he watched the recording with a furrowed brow. Hearing this, Wu Qianru quickly moved closer to Li Chenxu. Li Chenxu gave an unpleasant snort, and Wu Qianru quickly moved a little further away, realizing she had inadvertently entered Li Chenxu's private space and displeased him.

However, the thought of this made Wu Qianru insanely jealous of Mu Xiaoyu. She felt that Mu Xiaoyu was like an unruly cat, monopolizing all the affection, yet pretending not to know that she wanted to escape.

Wu Qianru craned her neck, her eyes fixed on the surveillance video. When she saw Mu Xiaoyu run out of the room in a panic, the anger in her eyes turned into mockery.

"Look, it's Xiaoyu! What's wrong with her? She looks so tired she can't even walk!" Wu Qianru excitedly pointed at the tablet and shouted in Li Chenxu's ear.

At this moment, Li Chenxu was furious. He gave Wu Qianru a cold glance, which frightened her so much that she quickly shut her mouth.

"Car keys!" Li Chenxu stood up briskly and said simply.

Assistant Lin hurriedly handed the car keys to Li Chenxu. After taking the keys, Li Chenxu left the hotel quickly without looking back.

Wu Qianru wanted to follow, but was stopped by Assistant Lin, who said coldly:

"Ms. Wu, Mr. Li has a lot of personal matters to attend to, and it's not convenient for any unauthorized personnel to follow him. Please leave!"

The words "irrelevant people" deeply stung Wu Qianru. She clenched her fists tightly, curled her lips into a smug smile, and secretly vowed that one day she would stand beside Li Chenxu and look down on those who looked down on her.

Li Chenxu drove directly to Mu Xiaoyu's residence and angrily demanded that Mu Xiaoyu open the door. Upon hearing Li Chenxu's voice, Mu Xiaoyu couldn't help but shiver. She was burning with desire and, in order to avoid any complications, she ignored Li Chenxu and did not open the door for him. She wanted to endure it on her own.

"Mu Xiaoyu, open the door immediately, or you'll face the consequences!" Li Chenxu said firmly, each word like a cold wind that seeped in through the crack in the door, chilling Mu Xiaoyu's heart.

"I said I wouldn't open the door. If you like standing there, then stand there!" Mu Xiaoyu said stubbornly. She tried her best to stay sober, recalling Li Chenxu's domineering and dictatorial manner in her previous life, and a trace of gloom flashed in her eyes.

"Hmph, Mu Xiaoyu, do you know what the consequences of refusing me are!" Li Chenxu said calmly. Mu Xiaoyu's hair stood on end. She held her breath and listened to the sounds outside the door.

After waiting for a while without any movement outside the door, Mu Xiaoyu thought Li Chenxu had left. But less than a minute later, the sound of the combination lock being unlocked came from outside.

Mu Xiaoyu sighed helplessly. She struggled to her feet and saw Li Chenxu's tall figure. He curled his lip in disdain and looked at Mu Xiaoyu, saying:

"As expected, you always use the same password no matter what happens in the whole world!"

"Please leave! I don't have time to discuss these meaningless things with you!" Mu Xiaoyu dragged her heavy body, trying to hide in the bedroom, but Li Chenxu walked up to her in a few steps and blocked her way.

Looking at Mu Xiaoyu's flushed face, Li Chenxu was furious. He reached out and pinched Mu Xiaoyu's chin, his thumb gently stroking her bright red, moist lips as he said flippantly:

"You always pretend to be so virtuous, I never imagined you were so thirsty!"

Mu Xiaoyu was driven mad by the drugs, while Li Chenxu's hormonal scent lingered around her nose. She wished she could rush up and hug him right now, pressing her skin against his and seeking a moment of relief.

However, she couldn't! Mu Xiaoyu tried her best to stay calm. The other party was Li Chenxu, and she absolutely couldn't do anything out of line! Thinking this, Mu Xiaoyu hardened her heart and bit Li Chenxu's finger, hoping to anger him and make him leave as soon as possible.

Unexpectedly, this action ignited Li Chenxu's desire. He even felt that Mu Xiaoyu was disdainfully teasing him! His fingers were inside Mu Xiaoyu's warm mouth, and the slight pain stimulated all his nerves.

"You're challenging me!" Li Chenxu narrowed his eyes dangerously, picked up Mu Xiaoyu, and took her to the bedroom.
