Chapter 55 Lingering
Chapter 55 Lingering
Mingyue was unwilling to really fight her junior brother; her main purpose was to give him a taste of her skills.
The attacks seemed to come one after another, giving no one a chance to breathe and leaving them overwhelmed. In fact, they were all deliberately designed to guide Han Yi to properly control his spiritual energy.
The withered branch she manipulated with her divine sense seemed to work magic in her hands. One moment it became straight and hard, like a long spear, piercing straight at Han Yi's vital points with a "whoosh," its sharpness chilling to behold; the next moment it became soft and limp, like a rope, twisting and turning in the air, trying to entangle the Proud Snow Sword. It combined strength and softness, its methods varied, and every attack was unpredictable and impossible to defend against.
In this back-and-forth contest, Han Yi's understanding of sword control became deeper and deeper, and his mastery of it became more and more proficient.
He gradually figured out his own moves. Sword control is not as simple as just using flying swords to cut people. You have to make flexible use of mental power and spiritual power to outwit and outmaneuver your enemies.
The attacks are no longer static; they also know how to observe the surrounding environment, use the wind to make the flying sword fly faster and more steadily, and use the terrain to cover themselves and create advantages for themselves.
After a while of sparring, Mingyue finally stopped.
She looked at Han Yi with relief in her eyes.
Han Yi was breathing heavily, his chest heaving, but his face was beaming with excitement.
"Junior brother, you've improved so fast! If you keep practicing like this, it won't be long before you become a powerful sword cultivator." Mingyue said with a smile, her voice clear and pleasant, like a clear spring flowing in the mountains.
Han Yi raised his hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead, grinning from ear to ear, his eyes sparkling.
"Thank you for your guidance, Senior Sister!"
Mingyue's lips curled up into a sly smile. "Just saying thank you isn't enough; we need to show some real gratitude." Her words carried a playful and teasing tone.
Han Yi's eyes darted around, and he immediately put on a grinning, rascal-like expression.
"Sure, senior sister! Come to my room tonight. I'm going all out and will spend the night with you, and treat myself as a reward." He shamelessly acted like a scoundrel.
Mingyue was wearing a light blue dress today, which fluttered gently in the wind, making her look very beautiful.
Upon hearing Han Yi's words, Mingyue walked up to him in a few steps and said softly, "Stop trying to fool me, I want it now!" Her voice was clear and melodious, like the chirping of birds in the mountains.
As she spoke, she pouted and leaned her lips towards Han Yi's mouth.
Han Yi reacted quickly, raising his hand to cover Mingyue's mouth.
"What a sly fellow, trying to ambush me, huh!"
Mingyue was not about to give up. She pried his hands off with both of hers, her face flushed red, her eyes sparkling, and she shouted with a bit of stubbornness, "Still trying to resist? I'm going to kiss your little mouth today, Junior Brother!"
At this moment, the surrounding flowers, as if joining in the fun, bloomed in a riot of color.
"Senior sister, if you keep acting like this, I'm going to yell!" Han Yi really pulled out all the stops, pretending to be a demure young lady as he spoke.
But then, the tone suddenly changed.
Taking advantage of his momentary lapse in attention, Mingyue suddenly exerted her strength and tackled him to the ground.
Then she sat on him, pressed his hands down with her own, and lowered her head to force a kiss.
Just then, Huixin happened to pass by and saw it from afar.
"The world is going to the dogs! You've ruined the reputation of our Azure Phoenix Peak." The fat man muttered under his breath before flying away.
After succeeding, Mingyue reluctantly got up, in an extremely good mood. Humming a little tune, she tidied her slightly messy hair and left Wuxu Cliff with light steps.
She was still savoring the memory: her junior brother's lips were so soft; a kiss from them was quite addictive. She secretly vowed that, taking advantage of her proximity, she would eventually win this guy over completely.
Around noon, Mingyue returned again, carrying a food box. Before she even got close, she shouted, "Junior brother, come and eat!"
Upon hearing this, Han Yi ran over as fast as he could, his eyes fixed on the food box, his mouth practically watering.
In fact, Han Yi has already cultivated his divine soul, so theoretically he doesn't need to eat anymore, but he's just greedy and can't resist food whenever he sees something delicious.
"Yu Ji, tell me yourself, if you miss out on your senior sister, where will you find such a wonderful woman?" Mingyue raised her chin slightly and asked him.
With his mouth full, Han Yi's words were muffled: "Senior sister, don't worry, I will definitely marry no one but you!"
Upon hearing this, Mingyue was delighted. "At least you still have some conscience!"
Han Yi kissed her directly on the cheek, his main goal being to make her happy, brimming with emotional value.
