Chapter 484 Losing control

Chapter 484 Losing control

Chapter 484 Out of Control

How could you be so careless?

Why does this happen?

Do you know how worried I was about you?

In his haste, Gu Tingyan couldn't help but scold Jiang Yi.

His voice became somewhat shrill with anxiety, the veins on his forehead bulged slightly, and his eyes revealed deep anxiety and worry.

Jiang Yi was already feeling scared and wronged because of the car accident, and when she heard Gu Tingyan's scolding, tears immediately welled up in her eyes.

Her eyes were red, and tears rolled down like broken beads, dripping onto the clean white sheets.

"I didn't want this to happen either, it was just an accident..."

She said, her voice choked with emotion.

Feeling wronged and helpless enveloped her heart.

When Gu Tingyan saw Jiang Yi crying, he panicked.

He frantically tried to wipe away Jiang Yi's tears, but didn't know where to begin.

"Jiang Yi, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scold you, I was just too worried about you."

Please don't cry, okay?

His voice became gentle and flustered, his eyes filled with guilt and heartache, like a child who had done something wrong.

Just then, Li Yan also rushed to the ward.

As soon as she entered the room, she saw Jiang Yi crying, while Gu Tingyan stood beside her looking flustered.

Li Yan's heart tightened, thinking that Gu Tingyan had bullied Jiang Yi.

"Gu Tingyan, what are you doing? Jiang Yi is injured, and you're still scolding her? Don't you have any conscience?"

As soon as Li Yan entered, she launched into a tirade against Gu Tingyan, hands on her hips, looking fierce.

Gu Tingyan opened his mouth, wanting to explain, but didn't know where to begin.

"It's not what you think, I just..." His voice was tinged with helplessness and grievance.

Li Yan ignored him and walked straight to Jiang Yi's side, gently hugging her.

"Jiang Yi, I'm so sorry, it's all Tingyan's fault, please don't take it to heart. How are you feeling now? Does it hurt?"

Li Yan looked concerned, her tone full of guilt and heartache.

Jiang Yi wiped away her tears somewhat embarrassedly and said, "Li Yan, I don't blame Ting Yan. He was just worried about me. I'm fine, I was just a little scared."

Her voice was still a little choked up.

Li Yan didn't believe it.

She gently patted Jiang Yi's back and said, "Don't speak up for him. This child is just being unreasonable. Don't worry, as an elder, I will discipline him."

Gu Tingyan calmed down and realized that his words had been somewhat impulsive.

"Auntie, I'll go out and talk to the doctor about Jiang Yi's condition."

He made an excuse to temporarily escape this awkward situation.

Aside from his own family, Gu Tingyan didn't dare reveal that Li Yan was his mother.

Only Li Yan and Jiang Yi remained in the ward.

Li Yan continued to comfort Jiang Yi, her voice soft and warm, like a spring breeze soothing Jiang Yi's wounded heart.

"Jiang Yi, don't be afraid, everything will be alright, we will all be by your side to take care of you."

She gently took Jiang Yi's hand.

Feeling Li Yan's concern, Jiang Yi felt a surge of warmth.

"Li Yan, thank you. I'm really fine, don't worry too much."

A faint smile appeared on her face; though still somewhat pale, her expression conveyed strength and optimism.

After Li Yan left, Gu Tingyan stayed behind to take care of Jiang Yi.

Gu Tingyan sat on the chair by the bed, looking intently at Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi had fallen asleep; her breathing was steady, and her complexion was gradually regaining some color.

Gu Tingyan gently tucked the blanket around her, his movements tender and meticulous, as if afraid of waking her.

Jiang Yi is now the center of his world.
