Chapter 108 Unspoken Love
Chapter 108 Unspoken Love
Sun-young's family
"Mom! I'm going to the study!" Sunwoo shouted to his mother in the kitchen, turning around to see the Leopard Lady carrying pastries. "Oh! Hello, Auntie~"
"Hmm~ Is Sunwoo going to study?" Ms. Leopard smiled.
“Yes~” Sunwoo replied with a smile and a nod.
"Oh! It's Sunday today, so you can study at home!" Sun-young came over with a can of food. "Mom will make you something delicious!"
"No, I'll be back for dinner~" Sunwoo said, noticing the can of food in his mother's hand. "Ugh! Honestly, if your wrist isn't good, you shouldn't do this kind of thing~"
"If it hurts, you need to go to the hospital!" Sunwoo took the can of food from his mother's hand, unscrewed it, and handed it to her.
"Take your time, it's okay~" Sun-young said with a smile as she looked at her son.
"Hey, I already told you!" Sunwoo said, sounding slightly annoyed.
"Okay, okay, stop nagging." Sunyoung quickly interrupted Sunwoo when she saw the leopard lady making funny faces beside her.
"Where's Pearl? Where did she go?" Sunwoo looked around the living room in confusion.
"Huh? Oh dear, that girl should go eat some malt candy!" Sun-young suddenly remembered and said to Ms. Leopard, "Jung-bong's father just gave her 100 won!"
"That's a really 'a lot'!" Ms. Leopard said sarcastically with a strange expression. Knowing Kim Sung-kyun as she did, giving him only 100 won seemed like something he would do.
"Go and bring her back, she won't come back with me!" Shan Ying quickly instructed before her son left.
"Okay~ I'm leaving~" Sunwoo replied.
"What a good son!" Ms. Leopard looked at Sun-young with envy. "He even knows to care about his mother's wrist and opens the bottle for her."
"Hehe~~" Sunyoung smiled, looking slightly pleased yet a little embarrassed.
“You don’t need to worry about Sunwoo outside. He’s doing so well on his own and even taking care of his sister,” said Ms. Leopard as she ate her pastries.
"How could we bear to give this son to someone else in the future!" Ms. Leopard teased Shan Ying with a smile.
"Oh dear! Big sister, please don't say that! Just thinking about the future makes me want to cry!" Sun-young quickly laughed and agreed with the leopard lady's teasing.
"Big sister! What? You made pastries?" Sun-young stared at the pastries in Ms. Leopard's hand, looking at her rudely.
"Hmm~ I made some pastries, and we have too much rice at home, let's eat~" Ms. Leopard liked Sun-young's straightforward humor.
"That must be delicious~" Sunyoung said with a smile, reaching out to take the pastry.
……
Street corner
Pearl squatted on the ground, stuffing malt candy into her mouth.
Sunwoo quietly appeared behind her.
"I'm taking Pearl with me~" Sunwoo greeted Pearl's friends, picked up the squatting Pearl, held her in his arms, and took her home.
Sunwoo placed Pearl on the ground, turned her around, and gave her some earnest instructions.
"Pearl, didn't you promise your brother that you can only eat maltose once a week?"
Pearl nodded.
"Go brush your teeth, I'll get it for you." Sunwoo took the malt candy. "I'll bring you ice cream tonight!"
Pearl nodded and happily ran to the bathroom to get her toothbrush.
Ms. Leopard looked at Sunwoo with envy in her eyes, and couldn't help but smile like a doting aunt.
Sunwoo handed the candy to his mother, turned around, went into the room to get an umbrella, put on his shoes, and prepared to leave.
"Why did you bring an umbrella? Is it raining outside?" Sun-young asked her son, puzzled.
"I told you it would rain tonight, so I brought an umbrella just in case," Sunwoo replied, putting on his shoes. Before leaving, he didn't forget to say goodbye to Ms. Leopard, "Goodbye, Auntie~".
"Hmm~!" Ms. Leopard replied with a smile.
"Son, study hard!" Sunyoung smiled as she watched Sunwoo get up, and when she turned back, she still had a happy smile on her face.
Ms. Leopard was filled with envy.
"Where did you find a son like this?" Ms. Leopard joked. "How was this son born?"
“He looks exactly like his dad!” Sunyoung attributed all the credit to Sunwoo’s father, “A carbon copy, a perfect carbon copy!”
"Oh, right! Big sister, is A-Ze's dad's interview over? Let's go join in the fun!" Sun-young suddenly remembered Choi Moo-sung. Both being from single-parent families, she usually cared about this older brother who had taken good care of her.
"He's never been good at talking, he'll just say 'uh-heh' 'uh-heh' like that, what's so interesting about that~" Ms. Leopard's lips twitched down as she mimicked Cui Wusheng's heavy interjections and complained.
Ms. Leopard truly lives up to her reputation as the eldest of Phoenix Hall's three "Queens," making Sun-young burst into laughter.

"Looking at it this way, Choi Taek, a 6th dan player, really does look like his father!"
"This is all thanks to Dad's hard work in raising us!"
You are truly amazing!
Reporter Park praised the resemblance between Taek and his father, and also praised his father for raising such an outstanding son as Taek.
"Taking care of a child alone must be very hard, right?"
When is it the most arduous time?
"I asked the reporter."
“It’s not hard work at all. My child has a calm and gentle personality and never gives me any trouble.”
"He is a very obedient child."
Cui Wusheng said with a smile.
"Is there anything you want to say to your son before you die?" Reporter Park asked.
"Health is the most important thing~ I hope he doesn't get sick, as long as he's healthy~" Cui Wusheng hesitated for a moment before giving his answer.
“Tell your son, ‘I love you!’” Reporter Park said with a smile.
"Oh dear~~ this~" Cui Wusheng looked embarrassed and waved his hand awkwardly.
"I'll say it just once!" Reporter Park persisted.
"No, I can't explain these things."
"Say it just once, Daddy Ze~"
"No, I can't say something like that."
"I really can't say~ I'm so sorry~"
Despite Park's repeated requests, Choi Moo-sung still declined, feeling embarrassed.
He is a man of few words who knows how to love his son, yet he cannot express his love to the camera. Perhaps that is just who he is.
........
Aze, raised by a single father, is as taciturn as his father, but he is just as serious and down-to-earth in everything he does, and he only expresses his care for his family in a quiet way.
Sunwoo, raised by a single mother, is just like his mother, knowing how to care for and love his family, and also knowing how to express his feelings frankly.
Perhaps, more importantly, their parents loved them very much. The absence of one parent in their lives was a regret in their growth, but it did not become an obstacle for them.
They can also grow up to be outstanding, but the hardships their parents endure behind the scenes are unimaginable...
