Chapter 136 Magic Brawl

After destroying the first device, Lily, Mo Li, Feng Yang and the team members continued their journey, aiming for the next device. This time, they were heading to an abandoned ancient magic academy, where it was said that the second device that caused the collapse of time and space was hidden.

After several days of trekking, the team finally arrived at the magic academy. The academy had been abandoned for a long time, and the buildings were covered with vines and dust, but you could still vaguely see its former glory.

"Who are you?" the man asked in surprise, obviously not expecting anyone to appear here.

"We are here to look for the device," Feng Yang replied, "and who are you?"

The man brushed off the dust on his clothes, stood up straight, and said with a bright smile: "I am the former magic professor here, my name is Jax. Although the academy has been abandoned, I still come back from time to time to take a look and miss the past glory."

Jax led the team through the maze-like academy and came to a secret room. He tapped the wall with his wand, and the door of the secret room slowly opened, revealing a device with a flashing blue light inside.

"That's it!" Zayn said excitedly.

Lily was about to go forward when suddenly there was a noise outside the secret room. A young man in black rushed in with a sly smile on his face and a wand flashing red light in his hand.

"Do you think you can destroy this device so easily?" The young man sneered, "I am Carl's disciple, and today I want to avenge him."

Jax recognized the young man and frowned, "You are Eric, the unlearned student!"

Eric snorted disdainfully: "Unlearned and incompetent? I inherited Carl's power!"

He waved his wand, and a red light came out, attacking Lily and Mo Li. The two quickly dodged, and Jax also raised his wand and began to chant a spell.

The hall was immediately plunged into a fierce magic battle. Although Jax's magic was a little rusty, he was still able to restrain Eric. Lily and Mo Li kept looking for opportunities to get closer to the device.

Feifei cast a magic shield to block Eric's attack. Feng Yang used a bow and arrow to restrain Eric's actions. Xiaopang and Xiaohei joined the battle and used their skills to interfere with Eric.

Zayn breathed a sigh of relief: "Another device destroyed. Thank you."

Jax dusted off his hands and smiled, "It seems my magic hasn't completely regressed."

Eric was tied up and looked at them angrily. Lily walked over and said to him, "Karl's plot will not succeed. You should also understand that such power will only bring destruction."

Eric lowered his head, seemingly lost in thought.
