Chapter 138: Entering the Magic Forest

After destroying the device in the ghost castle, Lily and her team continued on a new journey. This time, their goal is to cross a mysterious magic forest. According to legend, this forest is full of incredible creatures and traps, and only true warriors can pass safely.

"Everyone, be careful, this is not an ordinary forest." Mo Li reminded.

Xiaopang walked behind the team, took out a bag of snacks and started to eat them. "Hey, I feel like our journey is like a real-life adventure game, except the reward is not gold coins, but the glory of saving the world."

"You are too optimistic, Xiaopang." Feng Yang joked, "Did you get that little bit of courage from the snack bag?"

Everyone laughed and the atmosphere suddenly became a lot more relaxed.

After entering the forest, the surrounding scene became strange. The trees were tall and ancient, and strange lights flashed from time to time between the branches and leaves. The ground was covered with thick fallen leaves, and every step made a rustling sound.

"Everyone, watch your step and be careful of traps," Jax warned.

They walked for a while and suddenly heard a strange sound coming from the front. Lily signaled everyone to stop. She listened carefully and found that the sound was like the cry of some animal, but with a bit of mechanical metal sound.

"What is this?" Feifei asked nervously.

Mo Li frowned and said, "It might be a magical creature in the forest. We'd better be prepared to deal with it."

They approached the source of the sound cautiously and found that it was a huge mechanical wolf. The wolf's eyes were flashing red, and its mechanical body reflected a cold light in the sun.

"Looks like we're in trouble," said Jax.

"Everyone prepare for battle!" Lily gave the order.

The mechanical wolf suddenly spotted them, let out a low growl, and pounced on them. Feng Yang quickly drew his bow and shot an arrow at the wolf's eyes, but the wolf dodged it flexibly. Xiao Pang rushed forward, waving the sledgehammer in his hand.

"Look, my sledgehammer is going to smash you to pieces!" Xiaopang shouted.

However, the mechanical wolf was so fast that Xiaopang's attack failed to hit it. The wolf nimbly went behind Xiaopang and bit his shoulder. Fortunately, Mo Li acted in time and blocked the wolf's attack with a sword.

"This guy is not simple!" Mo Li said.

Lily concentrated her mind and chanted an ancient spell. Suddenly, a beam of light shot out from her hand and hit the mechanical wolf's chest. The mechanical wolf screamed, and its body began to smoke. Finally, it fell to the ground and turned into a pile of scrap metal.

"Well done, Lily!" Feifei cheered.

"It seems we have to be more careful." Lily said, "There may be more than one of these mechanical creatures."

They continued to move forward, passing through a dense forest, and found an ancient stone tablet. The stone tablet was engraved with strange symbols, which seemed to be telling some ancient legend.

"I seem to have seen these symbols somewhere," said Jacks.

"Let me see." Mo Li leaned over and studied the symbols carefully. "These are warnings left by ancient magicians. They mean that there is a powerful guardian in this forest. Only by passing his test can we move forward."

"Another test." Xiaopang sighed, "We have been through a lot of tests along the way."

Just as they were discussing how to deal with it, an old man in a cloak suddenly appeared in front of them, with wisdom shining in his eyes and an ancient staff in his hand.

"Who are you? Why did you break into my territory?" the old man asked.

Lily stepped forward and said respectfully, "We are here to destroy the magical devices that will cause the collapse of time and space. Excuse me, senior, are you the guardian of this forest?"

The old man nodded and said, "Yes, I am the guardian of this forest. If you want to pass through here, you must pass my test."

"What kind of test is it?" Feifei asked curiously.

The old man smiled and said, "It's very simple. You have to solve the puzzle on this stone tablet within the limited time. Only by solving the puzzle can you find the way to the next stage."

Lily and her team gathered around the stone tablet, studying the symbols carefully. As time passed, their pressure grew.

"These symbols look like some kind of code," said Jacks.

"I have an idea," Mo Li said, "These symbols may represent different elements. We need to find the right combination."

They tried various combinations, and finally solved the puzzle at the last minute. The stone tablet suddenly emitted a light, the ground began to shake, and a hidden passage appeared.

"You have passed the test." The old man smiled and said, "I wish you good luck."

Lily and her team thanked them and entered the passage. At the end of the passage, they found a huge device, which was their goal to destroy.

"That's it!" Lily said, "Everyone, come on!"

Together, they destroyed the device, and the entire forest immediately returned to peace. The old man appeared behind them and nodded with satisfaction: "You are true warriors. Keep going, there are more challenges waiting for you."

Lily and her team left the forest and embarked on a new journey. Although the road ahead was still full of unknowns, they knew that as long as they united as one, they would be able to overcome all difficulties.
