Princess Lily Arrives

Chapter 313 Mysterious Visitor and Untold Secrets

Chapter 313 Mysterious Visitor and Untold Secrets

Guan Lili thought she was unlucky enough, but the series of events that followed proved that she had underestimated her "luck value". Ever since He Shaoyan's "friendly reminder" that night, her life has never been peaceful again. What's even more strange is that He Shaoyan is like a ghost, always popping up at the most inappropriate time, making Lili a little nervous.

Early that morning, Lily was about to go to work. As soon as she opened the door, she saw an uninvited guest standing at the door—it was Mr. Zhou! Lily almost screamed and quickly covered her mouth.

"Morning, Miss Guan." Mr. Zhou was smiling as always, but there was an elusive meaning in the depths of his eyes.

"Why are you here?" Lily tried to look calm, but her heart was already in turmoil. It was not good to run into this mysterious and dangerous man so early in the morning.

"I just happened to be passing by and thought Miss Guan might need me to give you a ride today." Mr. Zhou smiled gently, but his words sounded like some kind of arrangement that could not be refused.

Lily secretly thought that it was bad, and felt that she had no way to refuse, so she had to bite the bullet and agree: "Then thank you for your help."

Along the way, Mr. Zhou chatted with Lily in a random manner, ranging from the global economy to local cuisine, as if there was no hostility at all. But the more Lily listened, the more she felt something was wrong, and she always felt that the other party was deliberately trying to trick her. Just as she was carefully maintaining a "harmless" state, Mr. Zhou suddenly asked, "Ms. Guan, have you received any strange messages recently?"

Lily was alert instantly, but she still pretended to be calm on the surface: "No, I've been busy with work recently and I've been too lazy to even check my phone."

Mr. Zhou nodded meaningfully: "That's good. Knowing too much about some things may not be a good thing."

These words made Lili feel cold on her back. She knew in her heart that Mr. Zhou might have noticed something. But before she could think about it, the car had already stopped at the entrance of the company. Mr. Zhou politely said goodbye to her and then left as if nothing had happened.

As soon as Lily walked into the office, Xiao Zhao rushed over and said mysteriously, "Lily, do you know? Last night I saw someone sneaking around downstairs of your house. It seemed like he was looking for you."

Lily frowned. Could it be the mysterious man who threatened her? She pretended not to care and asked, "Did you see what that man looked like?"

Xiao Zhao shook his head: "I was wearing a hat and a mask, so I couldn't see clearly. But his movements were very sneaky. I took a video. Do you want to see it?"

Lily's heartbeat quickened, and she quickly took Xiao Zhao's phone. In the video, there was indeed a blurry figure wandering downstairs of her house, but the light was too dim to make it out. This further confirmed her guess - she was indeed being targeted!

Just as Lily was trying to think of a solution, He Shaoyan appeared behind her again like a ghost: "Hey, Miss Guan, you don't look right today. Are you troubled by something?"

Lily almost jumped up. When did this guy learn how to become invisible? She tried to calm down and pretended to be calm and said, "Mr. He, why do you always appear out of nowhere? Don't you want to scare people to death?"

"Just get used to it. I'm here to tell you something interesting." He Shaoyan smiled without any concern, his tone so relaxed that people wanted to punch him.

"What's the matter?" Lily asked helplessly.

"Have you noticed that there are some strange new people in the company recently?" He Shaoyan asked seriously, with a hint of cunning in his eyes.

Lily was stunned for a moment, and suddenly remembered that there were indeed several new colleagues who joined recently, but their backgrounds were very vague and they hardly interacted with others.

"Is there something wrong with them?" Lily became alert.

"This is a big problem." He Shaoyan narrowed his eyes. "Those people are not ordinary employees. They have a close relationship with Mr. Zhou. I'm afraid they are here to monitor all of us."

Lily's heart sank when she heard this. She thought she had just accidentally been involved in a complicated business struggle, but she didn't expect that this situation was much more dangerous than she imagined. What's worse is that she didn't know who to trust.

Just as she was about to inquire further, a new colleague suddenly knocked on the door and handed Lily a document: "Ms. Guan, this is the information you asked for, please take a look." The man was polite, but there was a hint of vigilance in his eyes, which made Lily realize that she was now under close surveillance.

In the next few days, Lily was very careful in the company, always keeping an eye out for suspicious people. Every time she met Mr. Zhou, she kept a polite smile, but her heart was already on alert. He Shaoyan would occasionally give her a few "friendly reminders", but the more relaxed he seemed, the more Lily felt that things were developing in an uncontrollable direction.

Finally, one night, Lily came home and found another letter under the door. This time there was no signature on the envelope, only a delicate seal. She opened the envelope and found an invitation: "Midnight Tea Party - The Key to Solving the Mystery."

Lily looked at the invitation, and countless possibilities emerged in her mind. She finally decided that no matter whether it was a trap or an opportunity, she had to find out.

At midnight, Lily arrived at the address mentioned in the letter - a teahouse hidden deep in the alley. She pushed open the door and was greeted by the rich aroma of tea and a mysterious atmosphere. There were already several people sitting at the table, with different expressions. To Lily's surprise, Mr. Zhou was among them.

"Ms. Guan, welcome." Mr. Zhou still had that unfathomable smile on his face.

Lily was about to speak when she suddenly saw He Shaoyan standing beside her and winked at her. What was even more surprising was that there were a few people sitting in the corner whom she had never seen before, one of whom was the weird old man she had met in the old bookstore.

"What on earth are you guys playing at?" Lily looked around, feeling as if she was stuck in a situation from which there was no return.

"Don't worry, we just hope to resolve some doubts between us through this tea party." Mr. Zhou put down his teacup and said slowly.

Lily's mind raced. These people in front of her obviously had their own agenda. This tea party was probably a huge game. She was just a chess piece pushed to the front, but she knew that today's situation might determine her future.
