Chapter 2019 - 2019: The Rebellion of Buddhist Power
Chapter 2019 - 2019: The Rebellion of Buddhist Power
Ye Qing couldn't control those Devouring Demon Flowers, so he simply walked through the last five checkpoints. After consuming the Devouring Demon Flower and entering the Demon Hideout Cave, it felt like returning home. Although there are many Devouring Demon Flowers in this cave, now these flowers don't feel as terrifying as before to Ye Qing. These flowers are the ultimate Healing Holy Medicine, all capable of saving lives.Of course, Ye Qing also tried to pick a Devouring Demon Flower. After all, the Devouring Demon Flower he previously took out had been almost consumed, and he needed to replenish it. However, the Devouring Demon Flowers growing on the vines were extraordinarily tough, and Ye Qing couldn't pick them off. Even using the Metamorphic Iron Dagger couldn't leave a trace on the flowers, and in the end, he had to give up.
Thinking of finding a Demon Pet, Ye Qing first entered the cave where the Great Demon King Coffin was located. Ye Qing could tell that this cave should be where the Demon Pet often hides, so he decided to go in and find the Demon Pet.
The situation in this cave is exactly the same as before. Ye Qing walked in again, but didn't feel the previous pressure. Previously, Ye Qing had entered once, feeling strong pressure even at the cave entrance. Each step forward increased the pressure, eventually making the further advance impossible due to the immense strain.
However, this time, Ye Qing didn't feel any pressure at all, as if the cave had lost such pressure. This surprised Ye Qing, as he couldn't figure out what had happened.
Ye Qing didn't know that the reason he didn't feel pressure in the cave was due to the Devouring Demon Flower. The Devouring Demon Flower grew from the coffin of the Great Demon King, carrying its power. This power not only allows him to move unhindered in the Demon Hideout Cave but also neutralizes the pressure inside the cave. That's the most peculiar thing about the Devouring Demon Flower.
Since he felt no pressure, Ye Qing kept moving forward, wanting to take a closer look at the coffin of the Great Demon King. Last time, Ye Qing had been next to the Great Demon King's coffin but couldn't observe it closely due to his injuries. This time, he wanted to seize the opportunity to examine it thoroughly, see what was special about the coffin, and determine the relationship between the Devouring Demon Flower's power within him and the corpse of the Great Demon King, and why it could contend with the power of The Honored Buddha's Relic Sharira.
However, as Ye Qing walked about one-third of the distance forward, the power of the two Buddha's Relics inside him suddenly seemed agitated, pulsating violently and surging continuously within Ye Qing. Simultaneously, a force in Ye Qing's chest emerged, mirroring the power of the Buddha's Relics, rampaging within him.
Ye Qing could feel that the power in his chest was generated from his recent daily cultivation of the Innate Skill foundation. Although his meridians were gone, cultivating the Innate Skill daily generated this power within. After several days of cultivation, this power gradually increased, eventually taking some form. Though far inferior to the power of the Buddha's Relics and the Devouring Demon Flower, the Innate Skill, as Taoist Sect's power, grew within the crevices of Buddha-Demon power, extremely peculiar.
Ye Qing entering the cave with the Great Demon King Coffin naturally felt the impact of the Great Demon King's power. The Buddha's Relic power within him rampaging was normal. But the violent reaction of the Taoist Sect's power puzzled Ye Qing. Given its weakness, why did it have such a strong reaction?
Ye Qing doesn't know that the Innate Skill he practices is the foundation of Taoist Sect's deepest Secret Technique. This power is not inferior to the power of the Buddha's Relics and the Devouring Demon Flower, being the source of power from one sect, both immensely strong.
With these two forces colliding, the Devouring Demon Flower's power naturally surged forth. Ye Qing could clearly feel this time that the Devouring Demon Flower's power seemed emboldened, attempting to completely suppress the power of the Buddha's Relics and the Taoist Sect.
Unwilling to be oppressed by the Devouring Demon Flower's power, the Buddha's Relic and Taoist Sect's power turned to attack Ye Qing's internal organs. Though blocked by the Devouring Demon Flower's power, Ye Qing was severely affected, his organs torn and clashed by these forces, causing intense pain, leaving him unable to stand, collapsing to the ground covered in cold sweat.
Previously, the power of the Buddha's Relics could be entirely blocked by the Devouring Demon Flower. Now, with the additional Taoist Sect's power, the Devouring Demon Flower's power felt besieged, unable to block promptly. The intense pain nearly drove Ye Qing to collapse. Ye Qing had no doubt that if he continued forward, these forces would tear his organs apart, resulting in a painful death.
Therefore, Ye Qing dared not move forward, feeling the rampaging forces, he immediately turned to retreat. Fortunately, as he moved outward, the two forces gradually calmed. Once out of the cave, these forces returned to tranquility, and the Devouring Demon Flower's power vanished, as if nothing had occurred. The only evidence being Ye Qing's sweat-soaked clothes, reflecting the intense pain he suffered, akin to a severe illness.
After resting outside for a while, Ye Qing gradually recovered. He took deep breaths, looking at the cave with the Great Demon King Coffin, feeling somewhat frustrated inside. With these two Buddha's Relics within him and the additional Taoist Sect power, approaching the Great Demon King's coffin seemed difficult. Although the coffin no longer exerted pressure, the powers within him were greatly repelled by it.
Thus, Ye Qing couldn't enter the cave with the Great Demon King Coffin, nor could he see the secrets upon the coffin. Moreover, crucially, he couldn't find the Demon Pet, which posed a bit of a problem. Ye Qing needed the Demon Pet to help deal with the people outside.
Currently unable to find the Demon Pet, Ye Qing would struggle to confront the people outside. Should those outside block the Demon Hideout Cave, Ye Qing indeed wouldn't be able to leave. Considering the situation, he wouldn't be spared by either the group of Nalan Jingwei or the group from the Church.
Unable to enter the cave with the Great Demon King Coffin, Ye Qing checked the other four caves. One cave was previously hidden by the Corpse Ghost Dragon, another visited by Patriarch Bodhidharma, another by Ancestor Chen Tuan, and the last one entered by Wu Tianchi.
Ye Qing had heard from Divine Doctor An Shiping about Wu Tianchi, gaining some understanding of him, knowing Wu Tianchi was a unique figure throughout the ages. Being able to preserve power and memory for a thousand years, whether this counts as true Longevity or not, at least surviving so long meant his strength reached an extremely terrifying level.
The four individuals who entered the caves, Ye Qing had seen the Corpse Ghost Dragon himself and knew its strength. As for Patriarch Bodhidharma and Ancestor Chen Tuan, although Ye Qing hadn't met them, he had obtained their relics, the Buddha's Relics from Patriarch Bodhidharma and Karmic Dao from Ancestor Chen Tuan. The only one Ye Qing had heard legends of but hadn't interacted with was Wu Tianchi. By rights, Wu Tianchi should still be alive and extremely powerful, yet why is there no information or news about him in the world?
With doubts in mind, the first cave Ye Qing entered was the one where Wu Tianchi had been. At the end of this cave was a Stone Platform, upon which Wu Tianchi left three Sword Marks, containing immense power. Ye Qing had visited this cave before and seen these three Sword Marks. However, last time he couldn't gaze at them for long, as the force within the Sword Marks couldn't be directly viewed.
This time, as Ye Qing approached the Stone Platform, he cautiously gazed at the Sword Marks. Initially, he felt uneasy, knowing their strong power. Yet, as he stared at them, he didn't feel the same fear as before. Not only did the power within the Sword Marks not repel him, Ye Qing felt a strange sensation leading him to mimic their trajectories.
Ye Qing had previously seen the Sword Marks and attempted to mimic them. But each time he did, their power repelled him, nearly causing internal injuries. However, this time, as Ye Qing mimicked the Sword Marks, he felt completely comfortable. Instead, the power within the Sword Marks guided Ye Qing, allowing him to gradually comprehend the Sword Intent within them. While mimicking their trajectories, Ye Qing involuntarily recalled the Tianzhu Sword Technique he memorized at Mount Duwang.
The Tianzhu Sword Technique has two parts: one is the Inner Strength operation method, used to control the Tianzhu Sword and unleash its power. The second part is the actual Sword Technique, which in essence is the sword moves. Unfortunately, for Ye Qing, who didn't understand Swordsmanship, these moves could only be mimicked.
